Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes said after the 1-1 draw with Chelsea that he felt partly responsible for Erik ten Hag’s sacking.
“We know that Erik (Ten Hag) is gone. It’s not good for anyone at the ยูฟ่าเบท club when the manager is gone. The team is not great, the results are not great and he is the one who has to pay the price.”
“Whenever you see a manager leave, you take some responsibility for yourself because the team didn’t do well.”
“It’s easier to sack a manager than to sack 15 players. I spoke to the manager (Ten Hag) and apologised to him. I’m disappointed he’s gone and I tried to help him. I didn’t score, we didn’t score and I feel responsible for that.”
“I usually score a lot of goals, but I always give 100%. He knows that.”
